About Six Heroes

George BAcon photoGeorge C. Bacon is the owner of Friar's Choice, and the creator of the Six Heroes brand identity. Six Heroes is trademarked and copyrighted. A brand name was desired which could fulfill a humanitarian purpose and endeavor. It would be not only a good tasting wine, but create a truly warm feeling in the wine lovers' hearts when they realized the contribution their purchase achieved.

An article was noted on the Statue of the Flag Raising at Iwo Jima, and how the photo taken evolved into one of the most famous photos of World War II. Six Heroes was conceptualized and born out of the recognition the photo consisted of five Marines and one Naval corpsman.

There are 10,000 available Serialized Presentation Cases of the 2003 Memorial Merlot. Thereafter, we hope consumer demand will allow Six Heroes to sell 25,000 Presentation Cases per year generating an estimated donation of $125,000 to the Coalition.

Also planned is the creation of five other wines for Six Heroes, bringing the total to six wines for the Six Heroes brand label. With that expansion, the Six Heroes label will reach national distributors and attain a goal of 1,000,000 cases sold annually generating a donation of $5,000,000 to the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes annually.

Please visit www.saluteheroes.org, and view the section entitled "Stories". You will quickly realize the importance of the relationship the Coalition has with our service people, and the value of your support to this humanitarian cause through your purchases of Six Heroes wines.
